BOMBSHELL: Kwadwo Baah Agyeman and some NDC executives instigated us, we are sorry – Remorseful Agogo Muslim Youth pleads
Credible information reaching news2dayonline.com indicates that the current Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Kwadwo Baah Agyeman and some constituency executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Asante Akim North Constituency in the Ashanti region were the brains behind the dastardly act that led to the rejection of some food items purported to be from the DCE to the Agogo Zongo community.
In an audio intercepted by this news portal, one Abdul Ganiu who claimed to have been the leader of the thuggery group said, they were contacted by Kwadwo Baah Agyeman and some executives of NDC namely Amidu Mohammed, Mashawudu Issah and Emmanuel Sarkodie to publicly drive away the driver who was carrying the supposed items to the community.
He said in all, about ten(10) guys were enrolled to engage in the dastardly act that has brought the name of the ruling party and the zongo community in the constituency into disrepute.
Giving a vivid account of the clandestine modicum through which the one-time former MP wanted them to execute his ill-motivated agenda , Ganiu said Kwadwo Baah Agyeman sent one of his guys to hand over Thousand Ghana cedi (Ghc1000) to be shared among them and also hired the services of a camera man to take footage of the incident so they can spread the news on social media to court hatred for the incumbent MP.
But the remorseful leader, who claimed their actions have brought great disgrace to the Muslim community in Agogo pleaded with the leaders of the Zongo community especially the Imam and the entire Asante Akim Muslim community to forgive them as their shameful act has brought a great dent on themselves and the community at large.
Earlier on, the elders of the Agogo Zongo community paid a courtesy call on the District Chief Executive, Hon Francis Oti Boateng, to render an unqualified apology to him and the entire NPP government for the actions of the Muslim youth which they deem was uncalled for.
They promised to speak to the youth to forestall any such unfortunate incident going forward.
This is not the first time an allegation of such magnitude has been levelled against Kwadwo Baah Agyeman as his insatiable appetite to recapture the seat he lost to the incumbent MP some years ago is forcing him to engage in acts that has dragged the name of the NPP government in the mud.
Efforts to reach the former MP for his side of the story as at press time proved futile.
