Done, Sealed & Dusted: Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi Confirmed As NPP PC for Asante Akim North
The ruling New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti region has confirmed the candidature of the Deputy Minister for Railways Development, Lawyer Kwame Andy Appiah Kubi as the Parliamentary Candidate for Asante Akim North Constituency.
NPP National Chairman, Hon Freddie Blay and the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the ruling party, Bernard Antwi Bosiako were at hand to endorse the candidature of the Incumbent MP and all the other 43 Parliamentary aspirants at an event held at the Great hall of KNUST to officially launch the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Campaign for election 2020.
He advised party supporters at the Constituency level to bury their differences and rally solidly behind the various Parliamentary Candidates as well as President Akufo Addo for a resounding victory.
Mr Bernard Antwi Bosiako, Regional Chairman of the NPP on his part, enumerated some achievements of the party over the last three and half years, saying the socio-economic initiatives by the current government ought to be continued.
The Incumbent MP for Asante Akim North having endured a long legal tussle with out-of-favour and one-time Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Kwadwo Baah Agyeman over claims of irregularities in the internal Parliamentary primaries conducted in the Constituency by the former is now set to hit the grounds running as his confirmation as the rightful candidate to run on the ticket of the ruling party in the Constituency brings to finality any grand scheme to sabotage the smooth administration of the Party in the Constituency.
